This kit is manufactured from high-quality bronze, offering superior durability and performance compared to lower-cost brass alternatives commonly found on the market.
These bushings are designed as a replacement for MD719165, with significantly tighter tolerances to reduce play. They are engineered to achieve approximately 0.0015″–0.002″ of clearance, compared to the factory bushings which can exhibit around 0.008″ of play on the shaft.
To date, over 500 kits have been sold with consistently reliable performance.

Product Update – April 26, 2026 (V3):
This is the latest V3 shifter bushing kit, featuring an integrated washer within the outer bushing. This design allows the lever to fully utilize the shaft surface during operation, improving stability and feel.
Previous V1 and V2 versions are shown in older images for reference only. Only V3 is currently produced and shipped.

Installation & Adjustment:
These bushings are designed to allow fine adjustment for optimal side clearance:
- Press the bushings in using minimal force (a vise with protective materials such as wood blocks is recommended).
- Install on the shaft and fully tighten the retaining nut.
- Check for side play:
- If there is binding, press the bushings slightly further until proper clearance is achieved.
- If pressed fully from the start, you may end up with approximately 0.007″–0.008″ of side play, which is acceptable.
- For those seeking minimal play (~0.001″), gradual adjustment during installation is key.
